I'm working on a Christine costume from The Phantom of the Opera; this one.

I've made a couple others, but this is the first one where I gave up and hired someone to do part of it that was making me nuts; I've procrastinated for more than a decade about it because I just couldn't do a good job.

I just got the fabric back from the print/embroidery shop and omfg from what I can see they did an amazing job with the embroidery. It took them almost 4x as long as their initial estimate, but I honestly would've been shocked if they'd finished embroidering along both selvedges of 14 yards of fabric in 3 weeks.

Now I get to cut along the outline of 28 yards of embroidered scallop before sewing it into a dress; no sleep for me!

Oh wow, you should share when you finish! That is an amazing dress and a big undertaking (or at least seems monumental to my non-sewing self.)
