I mean, you don’t even need to go that far. I personally know a bunch of people that I wish hadn’t gotten into a given fandom. But that’s a personal frustration or annoyance, part of living in the world, not a general stance.

And do you think the people you mentioned have done some special harm because of their fandom involvement? People can get inspired by things without “being in fandom” in any way that can be gatekept.
