To be honest, I'd probably judge the fuck out of someone who laughed during that scene, too 8|

They stand up on the stage together and sing their "Come What May" song and the MR owner punches the duke and there's all sorts of wackiness about and it's really awesome and the music is great and everyone loves the show and then they WALK OFF THE STAGE TOGETHER AND THE DUKE LEAVES THEM ALONE SO THEY LIVE THEIR LIFE AS A HAPPY COUPLE AND SATINE BECOMES AN ACTRESS FOR CHRISTIAN'S PLAYS AND NO ONE DIES OKAY THAT'S HOW IT IS

THIS IS EXACTLY HOW IT HAPPENED.

Oh man, OP, you are definitely gonna think less of me, but the second time I watched Ewan McGreggor's crying was so ridiculous that I started laughing my ass off. It was only the second time though. The first and third times I teared up, and I just b'awwed the rest.

Also my friend and I will jump up at the end of the finale at random occasions, stop the movie after the flowers fall, and go "AWWW SUCH A NICE ENDING. WHAT A HAPPY MOVIE." We live in denial.

What would they laugh at? The ending was sweet and happy and everyone walked offstage and sang another grand finale of epicness. That picture is clearly photoshopped. Because you are wrong if you say otherwise.

Um, IDGI. Is this an outtake? 'Cause the movie ended with the curtain falling and them living happily ever after, so.. yeah.

The whole movie was phony, cheesy and ridiculous to me. And I didn't buy them as a romantic couple for a minute. But I didn't laugh at the ending. I think I laughed the whole way through.

You'd hate me, then. At this scene, I finally decided I'd had enough of that weak mess and turned it off.

I cried the first few times I watched it even though Ewan's crying was funny. Not everyone cries majestically =\

The first time I saw the film, I was with my friends Erika and Jason at the cinema, and I sobbed sobbed sobbed during the reunion scene, you know, the reprise of Come What May onstage just before this one, but I hid it in like my hand from my two friends I was so mortified

So when she was dying I said, "Don't let go Jack!" - that line from a similar scene in Titanic - really loudly

My friends were pissed. So was everyone else in earshot.

But I was just trying to break the tension!
