I feel like there must be significant overlap between the Taylor Swift fandom, and horse girls. They just seem to be cut from the same cloth.

I love horses and I can't stand Taylor Swift's music.

(Anonymous) 2025-11-05 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I really don’t think there are that many horse girls in the world.

Horses require enough money to have a horse

My saying is "in the old days, poor people had horses and rich people had cars. Now the rich own horses and the poor own cars."

A lot of people can't afford cars!

I'm sure some people will find your comment pedantic, but honestly, as someone who can't afford a car, I appreciate that you said it.

But being a "horse girl" does not involve actually having a horse. Horse girls come in all demographics.

nayrt

Agreed. I was a horse girl from an early age. Didn't need to have a horse to be obsessed with them.

(Anonymous) 2025-11-06 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I knew lots of horse girls growing up. Not a single one of them owned a horse.

(Anonymous) 2025-11-06 12:35 am (UTC)(link)
Haha I have zero evidence but honestly seems accurate. Of course now you are going to get a million comments assuming you meant *every* person who likes one must like the other, because reading comprehension.

(Anonymous) 2025-11-06 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
Ohhh yes. If you mention a rule that is true 99.9% of the time, and even make sure to mention that 0.1% of the time it DOESN'T apply, you're still going to get a barrage of comments telling you it's not 100%.

(Anonymous) 2025-11-06 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
nayrt - I facepalm hard that this is true.

(Anonymous) 2025-11-06 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
Huh. I can see it, actually.

(Anonymous) 2025-11-06 04:20 am (UTC)(link)
OP suspects some spoons could be found in kitchen...

I don't 100% know how to explain it, but they both inspire the feminine ideal of upper middle class womanhood. Where you're a princess with a pony who lives to love and loves to live and doesn't really know a true days work all because daddy's rich? You know?

(Anonymous) 2025-11-06 07:08 am (UTC)(link)
You're probably not wrong. I'm a fan and I'm not a horse girl, but the idea that a larger percentage of horse girls are Swifties than the percentage of all girls that are Swifties does feel like it is probably true.
