I know all the words to these fannish songs ("The Fine Print" by The Stupendium and "Embrace the Rot" by Endless Taverns) without knowing anything at all about their original works or fandoms. I think learning more context would only make me like them less.

Same, OP, I love The Fine Print but haven't played the game yet. Let me go check out the second song!

"Human-made // AI Assisted (Suno, Midjourney, Claude, and Runway)"

oh no, it's garbage :( what a shame

Fuck, is it really? It’s just something that came up on Spotify and felt kind of catchy and I guess I didn’t do my due diligence.

The world is exhausting.

Oh, I thought the Fine Print was a completely original song, not a fandom song. I'm that case, same, lol

Oh I love The Fine Print. But it is so funny because I just randomly stumbled upon it and was like "hmm, this totally reminds me of Outer Worlds" so went and looked it up and what do you know. Personally that one does add another level of fun for me, but I just really enjoyed the world building in that game. Never finished the game, but it was fun while I did play it.

Have you listened to Feed The Machine by Poor Man's Poison? It showed up on a list for me of "songs you might like" after Fine Print and I really dig it.

I’ll have to look for that one, thanks for the rec!
