Well, for one, MJ is dead and can't really defend himself anymore and also the accusations came post mortem from sketchy sources who have changed their minds about the whole thing several times.

This. Honestly, I don't know if MJ ever molested a kid. But that doesn't automatically make his behavior around kids okay (like, why would you leave actual smut on your table in plain view of kids? At best, that's just weird. At worst, it's groomer behavior).

But the accusers from the MJ doc don't come off as credible to me (he's a pedo but still having sexual relations with you as an adult? What? And you only come forward with this after a contract you had with the estate fell through? I mean, maybe it's POSSIBLE, but I don't know if it's LIKELY.)

No? They came very much PRE-mortem since he went on trial for them in 2005, four years before he died, and the rumours and accusations had been circling since 1993, a whole 16 years before he died.
