Well, to be fair it really isn't. For kids it's at best a good introduction to the Discrimination Flip trope but even those should at least work as good, if not entirely original, stories even if you took them and un-flipped the discrimination so it took place in our world.

The only thing that book made me think about was that it pointed out that Band-Aids were all dark in color to blend in with the default skin tone, and that was the first time I noticed that the same thing was true in real life, only for white skin.
