I don't really get this secret?

The reason I sometimes enjoy this kind of stuff is because it's so over the top, I can't imagine it happening irl. Like it gets to a point where it's ridiculous.

Since most of my friends who enjoy this stuff happen to be women I also don't see what it has to do with gender. Something something patriarchal culture and violent men... I guess?

Idk just talk to people. The shady ones are easy to suss out without judging their movie watch history (now porn on the other hand...)

I was going to say, I'm curious about OP's feelings on women who are into that sort of thing because I too know a lot of women who love that stuff. And that's exactly why they love it - BECAUSE it's so wild and over the top that it just doesn't feel like reality. They enjoy things like the Final Destination movies for that very reason.
