I have to be honest and say that he pisses me off too because well...He did do a lot of bad things after all. I mean, he's the sort of guy who, if I ever met in real-life, I'd kick him in the balls. And then promptly run very, very far away...xD;

But the thing that makes me really interested in his character is that his motive made sense. He was basically doing the same thing the heroes were (trying to overturn the Score) but Van believed that in order to truly do that, they'd have to go to a further extreme to do so. I mean, it takes a rare sort of antagonist to make "LETS KILL EVERYONE AND REPLACE THEM WITH CLONES! >:D" seem like a good plan and you gotta respect that.

And he has an INSANE amount of charisma and had the God-Generals and a large percentage of the Order on his side. And again, he made the "KILL EVERYONE" plan seem like a good idea to all those people.

...And then there's the fact that he's hot. That goes without saying. :3

Yeah, but he manipulated them all. It's gotta take one cold heart to play with their emotions like that. And what he did to Luke and Asch most of all? Ugh. Ugh! Ugh!! VAAAAAN. >|

...

I mean. Yeah. Even Luke admitted himself that his logic made a lot of sense. It's like, brilliant insanity or something.

And what sucks most of all that all his manipulations actually really did help some of them in some twisted kind of way.

... I hate that guy. XD

The manipulation was one of the bad things I mentioned; it's pretty hard to forgive someone for taking a child, telling them that he honestly cared about them, only so it'll be easier to kill them seven years down the road. Because...yah. He's a bad, bad man.

Van's fucked up. There's no denying that. xD;

...And yet I love him so. ;.;

and thanks for letting me act like a total Vangirl at yah. I'm actually kinda glad you hate him, since I only manage to talk about him like this to other Van-lovers, so a different perspective is a nice change of pace. :3
