Re: Actors who play the same character in every movie

I wouldn't say EVERY movie, but Robert Downey Jr. leans hard on the same type of character for Tony Stark/Iron Man and the Guy Ritchie version of Sherlock Holmes. I'm sure there are other examples, too.

Martin Freeman does the same. I don't hate either one of them and they're both really good at their respective "type", but I don't always like having that same character stamped on top of other characters. It does feel pretty one note after a while.

Yeah, like Tom Cruise, Robert Downey Jr *can* act, he just doesn't always bother when he's cast for that particular persona.
