Crispin Glover

He saved the first BTTF film from an incredibly racist ending, sued & won when they used his likeness without permission (thus creating a precedent and laws that would save a lot of actors from being exploited), he's called out predators (Spielberg) before the MeToo movement... Basically he's been ahead on a lot of things but people dismiss him because he's a weird theatre kid. Like, really weird. But talk to anyone who's met him irl and they all have nice things to say about him.

As far as I knew, he talked about hating the ending because it equated being a good person with being rich. What was the racist ending he saved it from?

An early script involved the McFlys having a maid as a mark of success.
What most sources leave out is that the maid was black.

Crispin has spoken about this ending numerous times, though he's always super careful when he's on a podcast etc but irl at conventions and on stage he's talked about the racial aspect of it further.
