there is literally nothing a talented, famous, rich man can do that people won't forgive. molesting kids? go for it. raping women? go for it. straight up murder? sure, why not. people will wave it away if they like him enough. it's disgusting.

I think that disbelief is different than forgiveness.

They might come from a similar place of biased standards for certain demographic groups, but I still think there’s a clear difference in how people view and make sense of famous people’s actions.

It’s not about forgiveness, more disbelief that this person would do something this bad and ruin their career this much I guess
