The holidays are definitely harder for me even though I almost never spent them with my parents once I moved out. It’s been a few years since mum passed and every Christmas is about the same grief wise, almost like when she first died. This year is harder because my dog died and my stepdad severed ties, which is its own sort of grief.
I’m sorry for your loss. I’m sorry I can’t say it will get better. But I can say that most days will be fine and you’ll spend more time smiling at the memories than crying at the loss xx
