I already live off my pension and my husband works part time to supplement our income. We’re rapidly approaching the point in life where we downsize significantly. When that time comes, we’re moving to a small house on a large lot within an hour of a city that has what we want (shopping and restaurants of course but healthcare is our biggest concern). Days will be spent pretty much as I do now which is a lot of chores, DIY, reading, cooking, gardening, preserving, and exercising. He will spend his time watching YouTube.
