Pellegrino said he learned Enochian for the role... not sure if he's serious, but still, WHOA.

He probably learned some phrases and basic pronunciation. My throat hurts just thinking about it! But it's not a normal language, in which you could say, "Where is the bathroom?" "How much for that doggy in the window?" or "Kiss me there, right there."

Why so? What's different about it?

Human beings never actually spoke this language. It was made up by/taught to two guys in Elizabethan England by angels they had conjured, and there is no vocabulary for every day discussion because it was only ever used by sorcerers to talk to angels and demons. (It's still used for that, by ceremonial magicians, whether or not people actually believe in it.) It's not used for daily mundane conversation between human beings and it never has been. You could make up some words using the Enochian alphabet for the toilet or the dog in the window and you could say that they were Enochian, but the words don't actually EXIST.
