I have heard that Latin poems are the raunchiest damn things EVER. It makes me wonder whether all those nerds in high school were REALLY in Latin for the upped SAT scores, like they claimed. *suspiciously narrowed eyes* Because I never could see the point of that as opposed to just reading more complicated things than Valley High.

I now hold that they were really having pervy Latin readings while we weren't looking, and snickering about how their nerdilicious reasons for taking Latin weeded out everyone else.

The translation work besides the epics was mostly love poetry. And by "love" poetry, I mean "sex poetry". Catullus whining about his girlfriend banging other guys or having sex with guys himself, Ovid having a god trying to sex up a tree, Aeneas and Dido having a bit of bowchikawowow... yeah. Pretty much.
