I had never played Wordle until a month or two ago. I'd heard of it, of course, but I just didn't care about it, and I've never been good at word games. Then I tried it and was obsessed.

Then I started playing all these other word games. Then I was suddenly spending hours a day on these things that are fun but ultimately time-wasters. I've cut myself down to two a day but I still have to stop myself from going overboard and spending all day playing them.

This is me currently with Clues By Sam. I play the main one every day, but I've also bought the puzzle packs and I'm slowly working on that. Not to mention some of the bonus puzzles from the newsletter. I'm hooked.

My mother is very serious about the Spelling Bee. She feels like she can't go to sleep unless she's found enough of the words, but I have no idea how much time she spends on it intermittently over the course of a day. I think she does Wordle too, but I guess that takes up less time.

I do Wordle on NYT games, then the Mini, then Letter Boxed, then Strands, Connections, Spelling Bee, and the big crossword (if it's not a hard day; I don't need that stress).

It takes 15 minutes tops to do all of these (10-15 minutes for the Monday or Tuesday crossword).

Wow, that's impressive! I can't get all the Spelling Bee words even if I take much much longer than that.

I've cut it down to strands and squares only, but I do really like those word games. It helps that mom and I share a NYT account, and she does wordle and spelling bee.

I'm not good at these games at all, but I am OK at Harmonies. Sometimes it's part of my daily routine to play it, but right now I only play it every few days/weeks.
