I'm guessing you tried True Detective and Fargo.

Maybe Outback Noir might work for you, like Scrublands or High Country.

Then there's Monsieur Spade or Sugar.

Yeah! Somehow I am not exactly a fan, but I find detective shows in bleak landscapes calming.
Thank you for reminding, I dropped Fargo some time ago, I should try to catch up.
