I grew up on Bill Nye. He is amazing. <3 Screw your chem teacher, and your friends obviously don't know anything. We would watch Bill Nye occasionally on sub days (yes, even in HS) and the class would EXPLODE with glee. Everyone knows he's awesome.

YES!!!! He pretty much taught an entire generation about science! Even parents liked it! I miss that show...

BILL NYE IS AWESOME

We watched some of his shows in grade 12 science classes, not sure which one it was (physics, chem, or bio) but I know the general science watched him all the time too.

My science teachers all throughout high school had us watch Bill Nye in class. He's awesome.

Fuck the haters, Bill Nye kicks pwns! He was easily the best part of my 9th grade science class!

Why can't you like more than one? 8D Sagan is probably MY scientist, but Nye kicks arse! (Anyway, Nye was Sagan's student and now he's vice president of the Planetary Society, which Sagan co-founded... I see absolutely no conflict in being a fan of both of them!)

So, to hell with your Chem teacher. Inspiration can come from anywhere - even 'kid's' shows :)
