They definitely have! I wish they would mention RD too, but maybe Noel is scared of being labelled a geek, ha ha (he was making noises about that when they went to Comic Con).

I've noticed a few things that I think are definite hat-tips to RD, or are at least really reminiscent of them.

From the live show, there's a scene where Bollo listens to Naboo's heartbeat, and gets techno-beat -- similar scene with the Cat in season 8, though personally I think the Boosh did it better. There's also a live scene where Howard compares Vince to a budgie and then Vince tries to fly at his own reflection, which was very Catlike to me. Oh, and in the Legend of Old Gregg when they walk into the pub and everyone looks at them and Howard is like "Let me handle this" and goes off to order drinks ... so "Gunmen of the Apocalypse". I swear there have been more, but that's what I can remember.

Oh, Noel :P Scared of being labelled a geek even though they've, or at least Julian, has admitted they're protagonists is a rip off of Star Wars's - a 'Wookie' (Bollo), a jedi (Naboo), Princess Leia (Vince...according to Julian, lol) and Han Solo (Howard, according to Noel). XD What's another sci-fi influence gonna make a difference?
