This is how I feel about being an early Taylor Swift fan. I wasn't there at the very beginning, but I hopped on as an international fan whilst You Belong With Me was blowing up. I'm very "hyperfixatory," so I was part of the flock until maybe 1989 with the collectors Polaroids - that's when I started having issues with the "fun" little things she would do to promote her albums. The two bullshit Reputation (capital letters for proper nouns, Taylor. Any REAL English teacher knows that) magazines were the "no, something's definitely not right with this shit" thing for me.

I've enjoyed some of her music since, but I'm so sick of her. I'm sick of the underdog story she still has. There's rumours that the Spears family are roadkill to get by because of how poor they were, but Britney still cut out with the "humble girl from Kentwood, Louisiana" mythos the moment she could buy herself her own Porsche. I'm so sick of how nobody - including myself - just can't seem to be normal about her here on god's green internet. You're either a kool-aided up Swifties, a pitchfork wielding hater or one of the two masquerading as a "neutral who tries to be neutral" but leans one way or another. If you truly didn't care, you'd be so apathetic towards the topic so you'd never be discussing her on the internet.

I too hurled my (blip tyre brand that isn't Dunlop because I'm pretty sure that's Australian only) onto what was only a small fire at that point and I didn't know how huge it would become, I'm sorry.

I feel the exact same way about Justin Timberlake and I'm also very, very, very sorry about that one, too.

I know people love to hate on her but idgaf I still like her. I think she's funny and enjoy most of her roles. Not all, because oof there are some bad ones, but generally speaking if she's in something I'll at least check it out.

I'm kind of tired of her in things, but I HAVE seen her and liked her in roles (Peik lin in Crazy Rich Asians, for one, and I actually liked her as Scuttle!), so I'll halfway accept your apology.
