Never really expected to see an ElfQuest secret on here!

But, yeah, EQ was my first experience with poly relationships as well. I think I was about 12 at the time. Full poly isn't for me, or us, but my wife and I have thought about bringing in a shared girlfriend.

Same here, absolutely my first exposure to the concept of being poly. It was nice to have it be something positive.

I used to looooooooooove those comic books back in the late 80's

The series is still going! The most recent story was Stargazer's Hunt a couple of years ago and I think another is in the works. They're also doing things like reprinting bound hardcovers of the Original Quest with new digital coloring (vs. some previous reprints that were in black and white).
