I had so hoped that Disney would do a one-off Fantastic Four cartoon special, using the animation style from the cartoon in the movie, for Christmas. Especially since First Steps was their biggest hit for a good long while. Just as a bit of fun. But it looks like it ain't gonna happen.

You already had the models and animation set up done for the movie, come on Disney, would one little forty-five minute special with extra added "classic" cartoony action be too much to ask?

They're going to see if someone makes an AI one they can claim the rights to.

That would require Disney to do fun things just for the sake of them being fun and as the past few years have demonstrated, they absolutely hate that idea.
