I saw this on Reddit recently! It was a post about how secondhand pianos are often hard to get rid of, even for free, because they're big, heavy, hard to move, take up a lot of space, and are expensive to fix. Someone said that a lot of people who played piano as a kid probably don't have the interest in having a piano in their house permanently, even if they have the space. And then they get replies "But some people would!" Well, yeah, that's why they said A LOT, not EVERYONE. Of course SOME PEOPLE would. "But I'd love to mess with a piano for an afternoon!" Yeah you'd love to mess with a piano for an AFTERNOON, but do you want that bad boy sitting in your living room indefinitely??? I didn't even participate in the thread but the pointless nitpicking and arguing was even pissing me off just reading it.
