I'm so sorry that happened, OP. It sucks. I remember my BFF in hs being gone for a week, and I got a letter from her saying she had been self harming and was in the hospital under care. I wrote her back and said 'u don't know what to say', and later she told me that was the best response she got, because it was so honest.
You're not supposed to fix your friend or he her therapist. Tell her how you feel (scared, relieved, confused), tell her you're happy to see her (I'm assuming you are), and ask her what you can do for her. Maybe she wants an afternoon of pretending nothing happened, maybe she wants to tell you everything, maybe something completely different. Just listen more than you talk, and try not to treat her like a broken person.
