I'm ashamed I was ever openly into selfshipping. The community is terrible.

Even though I've moved on to making OCs that are 100% not me, the baggage of sharing them is still there. I feel sad I can't post it, but I just don't want people to associate me with them anymore.

I find it genuinely infuriating that this particular misinformation is going to circulate FOREVER and will be repeated by people from now on.

There WERE NOT only 8 lightning bolts. There were TWELVE. The promo photos of the product showed the necklace in a box, and the other 6 bolts weren't visible, but they were there. There were also TWELVE tiny links between each lightning bolt.

This was her TWELFTH album, so it seems logical to have TWELVE bolts and TWELVE links.

Additionally, people like to say that they pulled the product listing because of the controversy. They actually pulled this listing ALONG WITH the MULTIPLE other sold-out items. It wasn't JUST this one necklace being removed.

If you are going to bash the woman, AT LEAST do it accurately with true facts, instead of using misinformation that circulated on social media. You think you're smarter than people on the right? Then act like it. Look things up yourself instead of mindlessly repeating whatever you heard on Tik Tok or saw on Facebook or Twitter. Be better than that.

There is so much misinformation out there, for every political leaning and topic. I try to not go with my knee jerk reaction of believing a story just because I agree with it (appeals to my personal politics, a nasty rumor about a celebrity I don't care for, news that would be a good thing for me, etc...) and get more verification on the facts before I repeat something.

Yes, agreed. I like her but it's no big deal if someone doesn't. But I do object when people start lying, and there's so many lies about her. It's tiring. If you can't complain about something without lying then maybe don't complain about it.
