i enjoyed this a lot more than i thought i would, it's fun and kind of ridiculous in just the right way for me. but i kind of don't want it to get a season two because i know from experience that all the happy good-will the fandom has now will evaporate once a second season airs.

i've yet to be in a canon-gay fandom where the fandom didn't devolve into complaining about everything and i'm not looking forward to that happening again. :(

Awww, OP I'm sorry you've been burned before. I haven't seen the show myself but I hope that the fandom still continues to be fun during S2(I think that's been confirmed? I'm not 100% on that).

it has and tbh i'll enjoy the ride for now but when s2 airs i think i'll pull away from fandom for a bit and focus on the show+fic and then maybe dip my toes back in if things seem fine.

it feels silly but i just don't want to see people get mad at the show and one another if things don't go the way they want.

I'm sorry this has happened to you in the past too, OP! Hopefully things will stay the same when the next season comes out. I think it's the right decision to distance yourself until things settle after the s2 release to get a good view on the situation.
