I hope GRRM never finishes Winds of Winter. It is clear he has run out of story in his head to tell. I've seen what happens when an author has clearly ran out of story to tell with their characters, but feels they have to keep pumping out books anyway by rote (looking at you, Briam Lumley and the Necroscope stuff after Vampire World, looking at you) and it ain't great. George, quit while you are behind.

I firmly believe that Star Trek was made to enshrine the concept of White Man's Burden in the mind of America. And it worked.

I like seeing unquestioned sibling bed-sharing in media, especially with older kids and adults. And no, it's not a kink thing because it's not kinky. It's normal and I want to see it represented as such.

Some of us grew up poor and didn't have the space or money for two beds. And some of us had siblings who literally couldn't sleep without someone nearby because humans are primates and primates like sleeping in a pile.

If I could delete any Star Trek episode, from any Star Trek Franchise, from existence forever... It'd be DS9's In the Pale Moonlight. Not because I don't like, I love it, but I'm sick of the way so much of the fanbase fellates it.

Fans Ruin Everything.

And I can live with that

For as long as I've been watching TV, I have never liked episodes of shows involving a one-time-only character being a bully to one of the main characters.

I don't find either of the leads in Heated Rivalry attractive and that's fine since I feel like that as a bisexual woman, I'm not the target audience. I still enjoy it.

So apparently they don't teach White Man's Burden in all schools but it for some reason left such a strong impression on me I think about it all the time and yes, it absolutely pops up in media. I actually wrote an essay about Stargate and how it's basically White (Space) Man's Burden and it was funny the reactions I got. Half liked it and half were like "what are you talking about?" because they just didn't remember or never learned about the whole thing.

Who do you think the target audience is? I just kind of assumed it is women in general, bisexuals included.

I just like the luxury space communism.

With Star Trek, the white men don’t reveal their existence to the “savages.”

Idk, in my experience the fans of this stuff are about 70% bi women

It's distracting that they've both got a prominent cupid's bow mouth with such a wide dip part and the right half of the top lip being much higher than the other. It's such an unusual way for a mouth to look, and they both have it.

Oh, I pretty much gave up on GRRM a decade ago. If I get an itch, it's fanfic for me. And I don't care how he feels about it. As far as I'm concerned, it's his own damn fault. (I realize fanfic would exist anyway, I'm just saying he doesn't get to bitch about it.)
