My one "guilty pleasure" trashy reality TV show that I watch is Survivor.

The 50th season is starting in February. I generally disengage from the fandom, particularly with returning-player seasons, because there are spoilers and they always leak out. Even if someone doesn't directly say "So-and-so wins," you will get A LOT of comments from people who are spoiled saying that they have a "good feeling" about so-and-so, and when you see enough of those comments (from people who think they are clever), you kind of figure out by osmosis who is going to win/be in the final 3.

Anyway, I didn't realize a trailer for the new season had dropped until just now. So I watched it and it looked great at first and then all the sudden there are a couple of celebrity name drops. And then MR. GODDAMN BEAST APPEARS. MR FUCKING BEAST. IS IN FUCKING SURVIVOR 50. I'M SO FUCKING MAD. OF ALL THE FUCKING CELEBRITIES YOU HAD TO PICK THIS FUCKING CREEPY MOTHERFUCKER??? MY EXCITEMENT LEVEL IMMEDIATELY DROPPED FROM A 9 TO A 1. THEY ARE DIALING UP THE BULLSHIT FOR THIS SEASON EVEN MORE AND IT'S GOING TO COMPLETELY RUIN IT.

I had to do a double take because he does look different. I never watched Jimmy's videos but have watched a considerable amount of videos by other creators talking about him and his work. I wonder if there is a cosmetic surgeon who has speculated on what Mr Beast has gotten done on his face.

I literally just started watching Survivor for the first time in my life a month ago and I've already gone through... 7 seasons? I was hyped for the 50th season but wow yeah Mr. Beast being in it has killed any of that hype.

Maybe he'll be the first contestant Jeff Probst hunts for sport. Gotta make the 50th special somehow
