I felt the same at first (I think I just have a kneejerk reaction to smug little teenagers in fiction), but I ended up liking him more once when he ended up being a decent kid who is awkward as fuck. I specifically love that Yuri didn't take his threats and insults seriously because he's a grown adult and Yurio is a punk kid who still had growing up to do.

that's like calling a pro british violin player a skinhead. Really. A figure skater has discipline, money to train and involved caregivers that entered him into a skating school at a very young age. I don't know where all the people misusing eastern european words and culture get their bright ideas but you aren't it.

Aww, I like Yurio. He’s a brat, but he’s an awkward kid. That scene where he gives Yuri the katsudon pirozhki for his birthday was really sweet. Then again, I liked everyone in this show. Even JJ grew on me.
