Hate when creators make the protag of a canon have no personality besides 'being bullied' or 'being surrounded by assholes' or basically existing to suffer and not even react to the suffering in any entertaining way. It's even worse when the long-suffering protag acts like an asshole to everybody but the story presents itself like everyone is automatically supposed to be sympathetic to this miserable asshole because someone else is a bigger asshole.

Then they get all upset and confused when people start rooting for the bigger asshole that is at least entertaining about it.

It's like they forget fiction is not real life and the first rule of a fictional MC is to be engaging to the audience.
