If you are in the parts of north america getting the crazy cold and snow and ice, how're you doing?

The cold is here but it hasn't started snowing yet. Supposed to hit overnight with snow and then turn to ice, We are as prepared as we can be.

Not in the US but just heard my country's major airline cancelled several flights to the US due to the weather so all the best for anyone affected!

No snow. A bit cold but not freezing. There was forecasted ice but that was reduced, and even in my area, we just have an "advisory" for the incoming rain, which could turn to ice. I've turned the taps on. If the power goes out (which they don't think will happen, but given how much the forecast has changed, who knows), at least it won't be freezing tomorrow, and I'm able to cook.

It’s milder than predicted so things should be fine on Monday. But tonight and tomorrow the roads are solid sheets of ice in a hilly place that doesn’t get much ice.

Same here. It's really cold out (12 degrees!) but the snow isn't supposed to start until after 7-8pm and mostly accumulating overnight with maybe sleet/ice on Sunday. It's a "wait and see" situation, which I admit is stressing me out a little bit even though I've got plenty of food and water.

OP of the post and I just came back and saw that I posted in the wrong spot. :( I tend to post and go and do something and check back later. OH WELL.

We here in Iowa are missing out on Snowmageddon, we're just getting the bitter cold. But yeah, I've heard about how bad it's going to get down in the southern and eastern U.S. - hope everyone in the path of all the bad weather, and those experiencing the extreme cold as well, stay safe and warm out there.

So far we’ve only gotten 3 inches. Maybe we’ll get more overnight but the snow and atmosphere has been very dry here.

Im disappointed, not so much in the amount of snow, but in how the news made SUCH a big deal over the 12+ inches we were definitely going to get.

But I could be proven wrong tomorrow.

Cold but no snow until tomorrow. How the fuck do they expect me to go to my appointments this week?

This is probably very ignorant, but do you mind if I ask if you're a fan of the AFL?

The cold is here - 6 degrees and holding. The snow is supposed to start mid-day tomorrow. I'm super ready as long as the power stays on. If it goes out, I'm slightly less ready, but in a good position to figure it out. Warming stations are open in the city for those with nowhere else to go, and everyone's just taking it as it comes.

We're supposed to get like 20cm of snow at the least, -20C about as well. We haven't had weather like this in years, I'm so excited for it!

Have you ever genuinely rooted for the antagonist in any canon because the protags were so unlikeable or badly written? If so, which one(s)?

I just really wanted the ice zombie dragon in Game of Thrones to just kill every single one of those miserable characters.

Me in any post S4 episode of Law and Order. I just wanted someone to wipe the "smug" off the prosecutorial faces.

Smallville. The made Lex way too sympathetic and Clark et al way too idiotic.

I didn't care for Bodies Bodies Bodies and there came a point where I was okay literally every character dying, so I was rooting for whoever the killer was to kill them all, then the twist came and well, not sure if it counts because of that.

I mean... I definitely have. I wish I could think of an example off the top of my head. At least one horror movie I watched recently had people so inept at surviving in the woods that I didn't think they'd have survived without a killer showing up, let alone with one.

... I was also a Team Rocket kid, so like, maybe I'm predisposed to enjoy a villain now and then.

MCU - I fully support Shannon Carter destroying the USA, Namor destroying the land, and Wanda destroying the multiverse because I'm so ready for it to end.

(Also because I love Carter, love Namor more than Shuri, and love Wanda more than Dr. Strange. Team End This Shit assemble!)
