As much as I love Emma Watson, she'd already played a well known fictional character so it was a bit of a disservice to cast her in a live action adaptation of a popular thing from the 1990s. Also, I really wanted to like the live action Beauty and the Beast, but it sucked.
I liked Maleficent and the live action Cinderella enough to give more Disney live action remakes a try and to have an open mind. I like a lot of the actors they cast in this film. I also like the Beauty and the Beast story in general.

But Disney ruin their own works from having too many cooks and always wanting to be as toothless as possible in order to offend as few people as possible to make as much money as possible.
