This is true. I'm sure it's a really hard line for the writers to balance, the people who want nostalgia and throwbacks to the original trilogy, vs people who want to see the world explored and expanded, with new content that fits into that universe. No matter what they do, some people aren't going to be happy.

I personally lean more towards wanting new stuff. If I want to watch the original trilogy, it's still there, y'know?

It is funny to me how much the same people hating on the sequels now are embracing the prequels that they hated just as much when they first came out.
