Re: "It's a privilege to even be able to escape"

Ah yes, the classic “America is uniquely evil and everyone else is just reacting” drive-by, dropped on someone who’s already venting. Very productive. You sound fun at parties. No, the U.S. has not been “bombing nonstop since WWII,” and no, it’s not the only country that’s done military intervention, bombing, proxy wars, or economic coercion. Russia, the USSR, Iran (through proxies), Saudi Arabia, Israel, the UK, France, and plenty of Middle Eastern regimes have all managed to kill civilians without U.S. help.

Sanctions can cause real harm, absolutely, but pretending every death in Cuba, Iran, Venezuela, North Korea, or Russia is somehow America’s fault is just laundering responsibility for authoritarian governments that actively repress, mismanage, and brutalize their own populations. And dumping this on an American venting about current events isn’t “speaking truth to power,” it’s just guilt-tripping a random person who doesn’t control foreign policy. If you want accountability, apply it evenly. If you just want a villain, congrats, you picked the laziest one.

PS., not a USAmerican, by the way.

Ah, yes. Let's kill people because their government is evil plotline. Somehow it's never a problem for the countries like Arabian Emirates, Thailand and the like. Authorian governments, my ass. And it's always 'regimes' in the countries americans don't like but never a 'regime' in the USA. If you're serious just google how many wars USA vaged around the world since WW2. How many military bases it has. Then come back and say how many wars Russia, China, Iran, Venesuela, etc have vaged. How many military bases those countries have? Btw Israel and NATO are USA's proxies so bad examples there.

I'm pointing out how crazy your arguments are. For some reason you think that it's those countries fault for their bad economies and decade long sanctions have no bearing on it. See the latest UN vote for lifting the sanctions from Cuba. It has only USA voting against and its lackeys, including Israel. The other countries were pro.

I didn't say anything about accountability, read again, I was talking about ignorance and privilege.
