Time is a circle, the cycle always repeats, yada yada.

Bets on who the next set of ‘there was a secret episode/it was a covered up!!!!’ Ship will be, my bets on that Buddie one from the cop/firefighter show because I’ve seen enough delusional shit cross my dash before I blocked the tag for the show completely.

If you mean that 911 show, they actually had one of them get a boyfriend, iirc everyone was pissed because it wasn't the right guy.

Yeah, but it is kind of funny to watch.
Honestly in a way I think its good for fandom space, people were getting way too comfortable without something unhinged happening.

OT, but my boomer trait is that I read "insaneeee" as "in say knee."

Hooked on phonics worked for me.

My weird pet peeve is when people elongate the wrong letter like that. I am blanking on the word right now (yay brain fog!) but there is one with a K where they do the kkkkk instead of the vowel (ie if the word was 'fuck' they'd type 'fuckkkkk' instead of 'fuuuuuck') and every time I see it it annoys me.

(Anonymous) 2026-01-27 01:27 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, for whatever reason the current trend is to just repeat the last letter of the word. This trend annoys me.

(Anonymous) 2026-01-27 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
YEAH, like I could see either INSAAAAAAANE or INSANNNNNE depending on how you draw it out, but there are so few end letters you can repeat and have it make sense.

Like, similarly, I'll accept FFFFUCK just as easily as FUUUUCK! But I could never type FUCKKKK in earnest??

If a word ends in an 's' or an 'n' I think it's fair to end on a hiss or a drone, if a word ends in a voiced vowel, that's fine! But a silent e? a k of all things?

I can't read the stuff in the images (too small, my eyesight sucks), and honestly have zero clue what this is talking about. Anybody got a one-line summation?

I think?

(Anonymous) 2026-01-27 12:35 am (UTC)(link)
I skimmed it in fear of Stranger Things spoilers, but I think it's about how people believe that certain superpairings (that are very clearly not the endgame) are fully filmed/intended to happen and are clearly hinted at but censored at the last minute? and that secret episodes exist where their OTP is revealed to be canon? Basically tinhatters who are shocked/believe the writers are wrong since their conspiracy theories didn't pan out.

thanks!
sorry, typing with gloves on.

Oh OP, it’s not just kids doing this I promise you. I have seen people my own age fall into fandom delusion like this because they want to believe it.

Fandom doesn't learn? Hell, PEOPLE don't learn. The Spanish Flu taught us nothing, apparently, and it's looking like WWII didn't either.

(Anonymous) 2026-01-27 05:39 am (UTC)(link)
That's because the generations that learned those lessons have died, and most younger people didn't want to listen to them when they were around.
