I do not understand the hate the Lady Gaga episode of The Simpsons gets. The Elon Musk and Ricky Gervais episodes are way worse.

Misogyny

In all seriousness, I tend to skip the Elon Musk and Ricky Gervais episodes. I can't stand the latter and I have a visceral hate for the former.

I thought the Ricky Gervais one was funny, I thought the Gaga one was just kind of kissing her ass like the Mel Gibson one.

The Mel Gibson one is at least funny in retrospect.

I generally dislike episodes that center celebrities, and I have to agree, the Lady Gaga one isn't worse than they tend to be on average. I hadn't even heard of Elon before I saw his episode, and I thought "why is Lisa kissing this guy's ass, is he a real person or something??" Without a preconceived opinion, I thought it was worse than they usually are.
