How does that work for media? How do you find specific shows/movies and are there any security concerns?

Most people have files shared and the rooms are titled with their specialties (e.g. anime, music, movies, indie, games, etc etc) and you just use the search function to see if anyone in the room has what you're looking for. I typically spend my time in rooms that measure their share in the tera- or petabytes, so I don't have a hard time finding anything, really.

As for security, I've never heard of any issues or had any myself. DC++ is front-loaded on effort, so most people, including the lawyers, give it a miss and the rooms will kick out and ban anyone trying to get malware in there.
