Exactly this. I used to follow a few lower tier celebs and they'd just post about their trips and everyday life, but they'd also post about all the free stuff they got and for some reason that was the trigger to unfollow for me. Like they have these pretty great lives and make good money and then on top of it get free things (mostly computers, collectables, games. It was all nerdy celebs.) on top of it. Idk just irked me that rich people get stuff for free when they can afford to buy it, and then here I am sadly trying to keep my old ass system together with tape and hope.

Don't even get me started on rich people asking for donations for their latest project.

I'm working on not being so bitter about working so hard and still being poor, but it's difficult.

I'm not poor (but I am compared to celebrities) and celebs and the rich getting free stuff has always stuck in my craw, too.

Oscar nominees get a goodie bag with $200,000 worth of free shit~!!!!!

Oh, same. I get it because they are doing it for marketing purposes, but it's so frustrating that companies give things away to people who can EASILY afford to buy it themselves and wouldn't even notice the missing money.

It's obnoxious as fuck, even if they don't mean to be so. Few things are worse than an oblivious "have" posting tone-deaf shit about excess and privilege for an audience of "have-nots."

("But nonny, how would they knoooow?" one might ask. I don't care. If they truly have all the money in the world, then they can buy a clue. And yes, I know the rest of us can just not watch and definitely not donate.)
