I hate that the PR/press stuff seems to be integral part of the Heated Rivalry fandom. I don't like that stuff. I'm not here for the actors, I'm here for the characters and the show.

I’m not in this fandom, but my slightly more specific gripe is that it’s not just PR, but PR mainly about the actors’ lives or interpersonal dynamics on set.

I’m much happier when it’s PR more focused on the actors’ ideas about the characters or more technical behind-the-scenes making-of stuff.

This is one of those times where I have a completely different fandom experiences as every one else, apparently. This really isn't an issue for me. I see way more people complain about the fandom's apparent parasocial obsession with the actors than any actual parasocial behaviour from fans.
