I love this show. It has that fun, mostly non-serious vibe that I haven't seen for pretty much over a decade now.
I miss shows like this.
I wish there were more like it these days.

Where everything doesn't need to be so edgy or death defying or filled with smut. Just let shows have fun, where characters matter along with the plot, and everything isn't so dark for a change.

Yes, I am definitely eager for some more fun adventure stories!

I enjoyed the earlier show quite a bit, though it suffered a little in my mind from comparisons with other slightly stronger shows.

For some reason I dismissed this sequel, but maybe it’s worth checking out.

I'd say it's worth it! I enjoy it most for the fun silliness and the characters. It can get corny, and the plot isn't very strong, but that's part of it's charm, imo. Plus it's filmed in Serbia and the scenery is beautiful!

Do you have to have seen the movies to understand the series? I've never watched the movies, I don't watch a lot of movies in general these days. But the tv show looks fun.

I haven't seen the previous series or the movies, and I understood everything. Admittedly I am mostly into it for the lightheartedness, so there is that. If you do watch it, I hope you enjoy it, the series really made me smile as a whole!

I started watching the previous Librarians series and straight away one of the characters had a brain tumour, so that was me out straight away.

Oof, tbh, I haven't watched the original, though I love some of the actors and have heard good things about it. I would have a similar reaction though, if that was my first impression.
I'm pretty sure the most dire straights of this series so far is that the newest Librarian was stuck in a time bubble for over a hundred or so years and dramatically waxes poetic about how he misses his long lost love? He's sad about it, but it's not some constant angst that stalks him either.

Did you ever see the original trilogy of movies for The Librarians with Noah Wyle? They were so fun too.

I'm planning on watching them for sure! I love a lot of the actors from the original series and movies, too. I just need to convince my sister to watch it with me, and we'll be golden!
