When I was a kid, I LOVED theme parks and roller coasters. Going to those was always a huge highlight of my summer. As an adult I struggled for financial stability but still treasured my memories of theme parks. I finally got to a point where I have some disposable income, enough that I could afford a season pass to the closest theme park, meaning I could go as much as I want all season long.

Yeah, adult me learned that unlimited theme park visits are not as much fun as child me was sure they would be. It's hot, it's crowded, the food is expensive, the lines are long, and I'm so tired after working that I don't usually feel like going anyway. Honestly, my childhood dream is shattered and I kind of wish I'd never done this in the first place.

I also LOVED theme parks as a kid. My mom even purchased season passes one summer for my sister, me, and my two brothers and would drop us off on the way to work. We never got bored. Now as an adult, I'm like WTF this place is way too loud, the lines suck, it's hot, and the rides hurt, or are terrifying! So I'm quite sad now that the joy I had as a kid is gone and theme parks just aren't as much fun as I remember.
