I'll admit that I haven't watched their stuff for quite a while and I don't have a great handle on how the production stuff works, so I'm curious why you think this is the beginning of a very slow end.

Do you think it's a sign of things not being so rosy behind the scenes? Or that she's such an integral part of their team that without her, things will definitely change in a negative way? Or something else?

I think she knows that they'll be slowing down (they are both almost 50 and Rhett has had some health scares). And without them, the show is over.
