I am not an American and never was into theme parks so excuse me if this is uncalled for. But is there a way to improve your experience?
Like go off season, not on a weekend if you have some vacation days and with your own food? Or taking a friend with you so lines wouldn't be that annoying.

Anyway. Yeah, some experiences are so much better when you are a child, sadly

no you can't bring in food. at all. nope.

at best OP may be near a park with an off season, but for reasons, like It's Literally Snowing Right Now Nobody Goes On Any Rides season. not a solution, for 90% of the US.

Depending on the park, the park may not even be open yet. (Most theme parks are closed from December-March, excluding ones that are in warmer locations, like Disney World/Land and Universal.)
