What are your least favorite fake outs? Mine is Glenn and the dumpster on The Walking Dead. It was one of the reasons I eventually stopped watching.

A kdrama I watched a long time ago called (I think?) The Moon that Embraces the Sun or something like that had the most insufferable "I'm soooo sad and unfortunate to be too smart and talented and good at everything for a proper princess :(" MC who died after a few episodes. Hooray, she was a decoy protag! Now give me more of the interesting and well-written characters!

...Except no, she was also sooooo smart and strategic that she had actually masterminded her own temporary death and when she would come back to life. Argh. I quit watching then.

Weekend Plans?

What is everyone doing this weekend?

I'll be watching the WWE PPV with my sister and BIL. We are doing it online because we have to get it through shady means. xD I'm also hoping to finish the hood for my little forest guy I am crocheting. Other than that, enjoying the nice weather tomorrow! So hopefully get a long walk in.

Do you get together in person or do something like a zoom party to watch?

I am having to drive up to DC tomorrow for a work thing and am dreading it. I hate driving in cities and DC and the surrounding area is always such a mess of traffic.

We use Discord! We used to do them in person but now we have to use Netflix with a VPN so, we watch the while play video games.

Ugh! Driving in cities is literally one of my worst nightmares. I always have to google maps anywhere before I drive to avoid anything tricky. xD

Chilling out and doing nothing! I'm going to level in WoW and maybe play some other video games too. Get my budget spreadsheet caught up, go for walks, hopefully get a lot of sleep, maybe do a little bit of housework like vacuuming. I'm so happy for a lazy weekend.

Some serious self care mostly. Been a really rough week. My cat does have the vet tomorrow morning to get her claws clipped. But I'm spending the rest of the day at the spa.

Sunday some people who have signed up for the immigration court accredited representative program (not attorneys but taking similar role) are taking me out for lunch in exchange for me giving them some advice/explanation on things.

Dunno. Maybe see if I can get some 3D printer time for something a bit more complex than the whistles (although I think I might want to get some filament that isn't black, grey, or orange).

Got some stuff I wanted to help with the final stage of soldering on the keyboard, cleaned out a fan that was clogged with crud (may need to do some others and the space heater too).

I've been to bonsai club for the first time in a couple of years (have been having rolling health crises.) It was so nice to see everyone agian, and to work on a couple of my trees, even though I had to leave early.

I've been unable to go partly because it clashed with book club. But I've had it with that book group; they'll talk about anything rather than the books, and I am so done. There's another book club meeting on the opposite fortnight, so I'll try that. If they, too, look up the book details on Chatgpt, or talk about family history instead, I'm out of that as well.

What stupid goals do you currently have?

I'm trying to watch as many Nic Cage movies as I can this year. So far, I've watched 7 (which is pretty good considering I started in February). This started after my sister and I drunkenly/highly watched the worst movie we've seen in years that was a Nic Cage one (Trespass).

I want to find the best BLT in my town. I love me a good BLT so I'm trying out all of them at the local places to see who has the best. Also checking out their onion rings while I'm at it.

Knit all the sweaters I have yarn for, which is about a dozen sweaters. It would cut my stash in half, too.

Pokemon Winds and Waves

I think this game might finally convince me to switch to a NS2 (no pun intended). There are other NS2 exclusive games I want to play like FF7R but the hardware comments about the console make me want to pause until they're either updated or a new version comes out. Anyone else?

(Also happy 30 years, Pokemon. I was a Digimon girlie but you've grown on me)

i am very excited at the pomeranian dog pokemon but i have ZERO FAITH that it won't end up evolving into Some Buff Guy

considering the track record of:
fennekin becoming bipedal
litten becoming bipedal
tepig becoming bipedal
torchic... starting bipedal but also becoming just Some Guy

but perhaps this will be the generation that the fire starter just becomes Bigger Firepuff and not bipedal again
