That's kind of why I never play any romance other than Astarion, boring as it may be. Not because I'm such a huge Astarion stan but because he actually has a reason for doing the "sex first, emotions later" thing that makes sense based on his story background and isn't actially head over heels with your rando PC after barely knowing them.
I guess a point could be made that it's maybe the wormlink that makes everyone have unreasonably heightened emotions towards your character? But meh.

I actually did consider the wormlink thing when I first played it but if that's the case, it shouldn't override their past—like if the characters had been all 'I've genuinely never done this before and this feels strange but I can't help feeling that I want to fuck you', and THEN it was revealed as a weird worm side effect, and then characters had to deal with the fallout, that would have been interesting to me! However that is not what happens, lol.

I did also appreciate Astarion isn't instantly in love with you, just as a general interpretation thing I do prefer it when vampires aren't sexy. That isn't saying his writing was bad in this particular regard, just that I did go 'what the heck, even the VAMPIRE somehow gets horny ALSO, come on' at the game. Genuinely I think the VtM style 'you can't sex any more but feeding feels way better than sex for both the vampire and the food' would've been a much more interesting interpretation and potentially leading to better character scenes than... what is in the game.
