I reloaded one of my tabs earlier, saw it was back up, went, "Oh good," and went to do something else--LIKE A COMPLACENT FOOL.

When I came back, the tab I reloaded revealed to me that the fic I was waiting on an update for has in fact updated. But I didn't actually open the fic earlier before walking away, so all I can do is sit here staring at the completed fic without being able to click through and open it. *facepalm*
