I love Survivor, and I would love to discuss the season as it airs, but sadly I have to avoid fan spaces when a season is airing, because spoilers about the boot order almost always manage to leak out. Even though typically moderators are good at removing blatant spoilers, once the season is spoiled, you can kind of tell what is going to happen because SO MANY people will mysteriously have a "good feeling" about the future winner, or they'll predict that some random player is going to make the finals when only two episodes have aired. Even if you don't read a spoiler that says "XYZ wins" or "ABC is in the final 3," you kind of absorb these spoilers by osmosis because so many people are predicting the same thing.

on one of newer seasons i watched, i remember finishing the first episode and guessing who the top three would be, including the winner, based on the amount of screen time they gave those contestants. i was right, and it took all the fun from the season. having the season spoiled in any way would completely ruin it for me too
