Seems pretty sensible to me.

Even as a fan of spy stories and not someone who is especially prone to paranoia, those “big conspiracy” thrillers are some of my least favourite. They tend to leave me both anxious and unsatisfied.

Personally, I’ve learned to avoid post-apocalyptic stories when I’m doing poorly depression-wise. I find that they nudge me in an even worse direction.

Same. No post-apocalyptic stuff, no dystopian fiction for me. I also avoid zombie media, even though I'm not generally bothered by monster genre fiction.

I missed that one. I’m glad that it probably didn’t actually kick off a psychiatric episode like that, but I do so hate that especially evil combo of intrusive advertising and “mysterious” adverts.

That's why I never bought into the theory that the Clown Sightings that happened years ago were viral marketing for the IT movie. They didn't look like Pennywise, they didn't act like Pennywise, there was no IT iconography and it didn't send you to a trailer or website or anything.
