Sorry to hear about your boss. I would have a hard time dealing with thay sort of stuff. Like, the back and forth and feeling damned no matter what course of action I took, really not an ideal situation to be in.

My work woes are ineffective and lazy leadership. I ask for help and no one does unless I personally find a person who can help or at least direct me where to go to find the help I need.
I take initiative and get scolded for overstepping. I don't intervene when issues arise because I don't want to get scolded for overstepping, but am asked why I didn't intervene (because I didn't know if I'd get scolded, oh no, I won't! That's what "taking initiative" is all about *eyeroll*).
Leaders who are supposed to run a meeting keep asking meeting attendees what slides we want to read before the meeting. And it's like, we're busy WORKING. We're busy building products, grabbing parts, cycling lots and ensuring scrap is not over or under counted. Why don't YOU - who has the time to send out emails to ask underlings what slides they want to read - pick a slide and then pick a name? Like, HOW FUCKING HARD IS IT TO DO THE SMALLEST FUCKING TASK? Instead you're asking us to inconvenience ourselves to do something that would take you less than five fucking minutes to do.
But sure, instead, waste hours/days sitting on your ass waiting to see what others will select.
This is why I FUCKING HATE seeing WHITE MEN especially between the ages of 18-30s get high up positions, because they show up when the big bosses are around and yuk it up but are ass picking imbeciles when they have to do their literal jobs.

And I also fucking hate people who come to me to whinge about being "bored" and when I ask them to work on projects I can't get to they don't fucking do anything.
Like shut the fuck up and don't tell me you're bored you lazy fuck.

I also fucking hate people who never take accountability. They take it fucking personal and deny accountability, but pounce on pointing out others' mistakes, unable to take in that when others are shown their mistake they own up to their mistake and don't make a big deal out of it. Instead they're busy playing some stupid 4D chess game where they have to play this battle of wits and outsmart me.
And I'm like "Just own up to the mistake. Like, a simple, 'my mistake, sorry' will suffice." But instead I have to listen to a long defensive excuse as to why it wasn't an error or they weren't the one who made the mistake.
You, also shut the fuck up and go eat shit. Pretty sure that's all you are made of.

I'm overqualified, overworked, undermined and underpaid.
